Barra Honda National Park

Attractions:

Barra Honda has a system of limestone caverns, 50% of which have been explored by scientists and speleologists.

About 19 caves have been explored, which present great attractions and underground beauties, with capricious shapes created by the action of water on calcium carbonate (stalactites, stalagmites). Currently, only the Terciopelo cavern is open to the public, since it is the one that presents adequate conditions for the descent of inexperienced visitors. This cavern is ideal for adventure tourism.
