Irazú Volcano National Park - Craters Sector
This is an easily accessible National Park located 31 km from the city of Cartago. Here you will be able to appreciate impressive views. On clear days you can see the Pacific Ocean and the Atlantic Ocean.
It has five well differentiated craters and its main environment is mountainous, with low vegetation and the climate is very humid and cold, (average annual temperature is between 5 ° C to 9 ° C), in addition, there is usually the presence of mist, great part of the year.
Within this protected wild area several rivers and streams are born to originate the Reventazón, Sarapiquí, Sucio and Toro Amarillo basins.

Fares:
- ¢1000 National visitors and residents over 13 years of age.
- ¢500 National and resident children (age 2 to 12 years).
- $15 Non-resident visitors over 13 years old.
- $5 Non-resident children (ages 2 to 12 years).
- ¢500 National visitors and residents of primary and secondary education, in educational tours organized by the educational centers and that have been previously coordinated with the Administration of the protected wild area.
- Higher education students must pay the rate established for national or non-resident visitors, over 13 years of age.
- Children under 2 years of age do not pay income, as well as national visitors and residents over 65 years of age.

For the Prussian Sector the last entry is at 1:00 p.m.
