Marino Ballena National Park
It is composed of different environments such as cliffs, reefs, sandy beaches, rocky beaches, mangroves, primary forest and forest in succession.
Main attractives:
- Tombolo in the shape of the Whale's Tail: it is a rocky and sandy natural geological formation that can only be accessed during the 6 hours of low tide.
- Coral reefs: the left side of the tombolo and Isla Ballena are areas where there are coral reefs, so you can practice snorkeling.
- Observation of cetaceans: there is humpback whale watching, which occur in two seasons of the year, those that come from the north (December to April) and those from the south (July to November); and you can also see the resident dolphins throughout the year.
- Whale Island and Tres Hermanas Rocks: these are rock formations where different species of birds can nest and watch.
- Arco Beach: beach of great scenic beauty that can only be entered and exited during low tide and its official entrance is through the Ballena Sector.
Services:
- Each of the sectors of the park has areas for washing hands, showers and restrooms.
- Additional: within the tourist activities that can be carried out in the national park are snorkeling, surfing, kayak tours, observation of flora and fauna, walks to the mangrove and coastal area, diving, relaxation, rest, among others.
Fares:
- Adult residents: ₵1000 + VAT
- Non-resident adults: $6 + VAT
- Children under 11 years old and people over 65 years old do not pay.
- Note: Payment is made only by credit or debit card.
Important information:
- The entrance ticket can be purchased at the official posts open to the public, and is valid for the entire day of the visit.
- Remember to check the tide table before visiting the Park, because the entrance to the Whale's Tail is only done during low tide.
- In addition, the Regulations for Public Use of the Marino Ballena National Park must be respected, as well as following each of the instructions of the park rangers.
- The Ballena and Piñuela sectors are closed, due to improvements been made to the infrastructure.

- Colonia Sector: 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. (Open every day)
- Ballena Sector: temporarily closed.
- Piñuela Sector: temporarily closed.
