Rio Loro Municipal Environmental Park
The park is located in Ochomogo, District of San Nicolás, Cartago. It has an area of approximately 23 hectares in the Río Loro aquifer recharge zone. This park, administered by the Municipality of Cartago, houses a water spring whose production is approximately 60 liters per second and supplies the communities of Ochomogo, Loyola and Quircot.
Its main objective is the Conservation of the water resource and the biodiversity that surrounds it. Environmental education, space for rest and healthy recreation.
This Park offers you a different space to visit Cartago, where you can share directly with nature and learn a little more about the mysterious and complex process of water as an essential resource for survival, as well as its entire environment and its biodiversity with important attractions for your comfort, being also ideal to visit with family.
